The Bay Area UFO EXPO
Held at the Santa Clara Marriott Hotel, September 14/15, it seemed this convention was the David Icke Show with supporting cast.
The price of admission included lectures by Linda Moulton Howe, Colin Andrews, Al Bielek, John Greenewald, Bill Hamilton, Budd Hopkins, Jim Marrs, Jason Martell, Shurlene & Earlene, Sean David Morton, Robert Perala, and more. There was also a surprise appearance by Dr. Roger Leir.
For a bit extra one could buy tickets for more indepth "workshops", which were really longer lectures. The David Icke event was the big one with a wrap around movie line nearly an hour before the event on Sunday. Everyone wanted in to the David Icke workshop "Alice in Wonderland and the World Trade Center Disaster" in which he wove his words to the spellbound audience, happy to sit for an extra hour. [Video and audio taping, picture taking during lectures and workshops were strictly forbidden with stern warnings about being booted out if caught. This was because this alien stuff is a huge money spinner. The company doing duplications, with a two-three camera shoot, edited on the fly, sold audio and video tapes in the lobby within minutes after the event. Also, there was a production being filmed for mainstream release, which pretty much sewed up most opportunities for interviews. The interviewees were pretty much burned out by the time we got to them, so we began, much too late, to ask attendees for their stories.....My favorite opening question, "Seen any aliens lately?"
